Glaucoma and Related Disorders
Elizabeth Dale, MD, graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 2001. She went on to attend Columbia University’s College of Physicians & Surgeons, where she was awarded the Leib Memorial Prize for excellence in Ophthalmology. Dr. Dale completed her ophthalmology residency at Columbia University’s Harkness Eye Institute. During her final year of residency, she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Dale joined Ophthalmic Partners in 2015 after completing a clinical glaucoma fellowship through the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami. Dr. Dale is an Attending Physician on the Glaucoma Service at Wills Eye Hospital and a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at Thomas Jefferson Medical College. In this role, Dr. Dale is responsible for clinical and surgical training of Wills Eye Hospital residents and fellows. She lectures locally and nationally and serves as an instructor for the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s annual trabeculectomy surgery course. Dr. Dale has been recognized by her peers as a “Top Doctor” in Main Line Today & South Jersey Magazine among others.
Dr. Dale’s expertise includes medical and surgical management of glaucoma as well as cataract surgery. This includes glaucoma laser procedures, traditional glaucoma surgical techniques, and state-of-the-art minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.
She is board certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), American Glaucoma Society (AGS), American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ASCRS), Greater Philadelphia Ophthalmic Society (GPOS), and Women in Ophthalmology (WIO).
Dr. Dale strives to develop strong relationships with her patients to foster a collaborative environment. She incorporates traditional glaucoma interventions as well as the latest technology in order to provide care that is tailored to the needs of each individual.
Outside of work, Dr. Dale enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
