Dr. Tina Xia

Glaucoma and Related Disorders; Cataract Surgery

Dr. Tina Xia is a board-certified ophthalmologist providing medical and surgical care in glaucoma and cataracts. She specializes in glaucoma management including laser treatment, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and traditional glaucoma surgeries. She sees patients at our Bala Cynwyd, Media, and Wills Eye Hospital locations.

Dr. Tina Xia received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine, with honors for her research in ophthalmology. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Xia completed her glaucoma fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital.

Dr. Xia is one of the attending physicians in the Wills Eye Hospital Glaucoma Services. She participates actively in the teaching and surgical training of residents and fellows at Wills Eye Hospital. She is also an active member in several medical organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, and Women in Ophthalmology.

Outside of work, Dr. Xia loves spending time with her family, enjoying old hobbies (knitting), and learning new ones (fly fishing).
